Growing up in Tadepalligudem, a small town in Andhra Pradesh, life was simple and predictable. But even as a child, I knew I wanted more. At 14, I left home for my studies, stepping into an unfamiliar world filled with both challenges and opportunities. Looking back, that decision shaped who I am today. It pushed me to become independent, step outside my comfort zone, and develop a sense of resilience that continues to guide me.
From Badruka to Deloitte and Back: A Full Circle Journey
Years later, after completing my undergraduate degree at Badruka College of Commerce and Arts, I landed a placement at Deloitte. Over the next four years as a Senior Audit Analyst, I built a stable career that not only sharpened my technical expertise but also allowed me to take on key leadership roles and spearhead significant initiatives. Rather than settling for what I had achieved, I recognized that my journey was just beginning. With a strong foundation in both technical and leadership arenas, I am now poised to enhance my strategic acumen and drive even greater impact.
That’s when I chose to return to Badruka, this time for a PGDM.
Choosing Badruka School of Management felt like coming home. Having studied here before, I knew the faculty’s expertise and the strong professional network I could connect with. But more importantly, I saw Badruka as the place where I could grow not just as a technical expert but as a leader.
Beyond Books: Learning Through Real Experiences
The moment I stepped into the PGDM program, I knew I had made the right decision. Every day here is an experience, one that constantly pushes me to think, analyze, and step outside my comfort zone.
Finance & Strategy Enthusiast: One of the most exciting projects I worked on was an infographic analysis of the PVR-INOX merger. I designed the entire infographic from scratch, and through that, I discovered a creative side of myself that I never knew existed. My team and I explored the financial strategies behind the deal and the potential market synergies. Breaking down a real-world corporate decision like that was eye-opening and gave me a whole new perspective on strategy.
Building the Consulting Club: Lessons in Leadership and Growth:
As a board member of the consulting club, I had the opportunity to moderate a session with Ratan Postwalla. During this session, I learned invaluable lessons on structured thinking, problem-solving frameworks, and how to approach decision-making like a consultant. His insights were a game-changer, pushing me to think critically, challenge assumptions, and embrace creative solutions.
Since this is Badruka’s founding PGDM batch, we are actively building the culture of our program. Being part of the consulting club’s core team has been especially rewarding. Working alongside my fellow board members to design events, gamify learning experiences, and create a space where students can engage, grow, and connect has been an incredible experience. Contributing to this culture feels like leaving a lasting mark on the institute’s legacy.

As I move forward in this journey, my goal is clear. I want to become a leader who empowers others. I want to master financial modelling, strategy formulation, and market research, not just to excel in my career but to create meaningful impact in the business world.
